SN65DSI84: LVDS output when IRQ event occur

Hello,

Our customer use the SN65DSI84.

Sometime, it is occurred IRQ event.

The register 0xE5 shows 70h.

How about the LVDS output when that error occur?

Because there is no SYNC error and no PLL unlock, I think the LVDS output is continue (not stop).

Of course the data of the LVDS output is not correct.

Are they clearing 0xE5 before reading it? How do they know the LVDS output is incorrect? Is the picture on the display distorted?

Thank you for your reply.
I checked the situation of the customer.
The display is blackout.
Let me revise the error code.
The register 0xE5 shows 0x11, 0x31 and 0x71. (not 0x70)

The error code include PLL_unLock, so the LVDS output may be stopped.
Is my understanding correct?

Hello Naoki-san,

Yes that is correct. Are they clearing 0xE5 by writing 0xFF to it before reading it? It's possible that bit is getting incorrectly set during the initialization sequence. If they keep getting the PLL_Unlock error code even after clearing the register then the input clock has signal integrity issues.
