TPS65987D: Billboard operation with TPS65987D

Hi Team,

I noticed that TPS65987D doesn't has billboard function in itself.

1. Are there any event to let other device know the billboarding timing?

2. In the case using TUSB8044 with TPS65987D, How should we connect these devices to support billboard function?
If there are any example block diagram or schematic, please share it.

    Hi Onawa-san,

    1. The TPS65987D has a GPIO event for "Billboard Event" That that the customer could use for determining when there is a Billboard event needed.

    2. If using the TUSB8044 with the TPS65987D you could tap the D+/D- lines onto the TPS65987D to support BC1.2 and then route the D+/D- to the TUSB8044 to handle the billboarding. The Billboard Event GPIO could also be attached to the TUSB8044 if desired.
