DP83867IR: Capacitor divider of XI pin

Hello,

I know DP83867 datasheet recommends to use a capacitor divider if using 3.3V or 2.5V signal for XI pin.
What kind of problems will happen if using 3.3V or 2.5V for XI pin?
Is it just long-term reliability issue? Or also any functional issue?

Hi Oba,

Internal circuit is designed with peak of 1.8v signal. It may lead to both functional and reliability issue.
