ISO1540-Q1: Is the host affected if the VCC1 and VCC2 are off?

Part Number: ISO1540-Q1

Hello,

I am using the ISO1540-Q1 with VCC1 and VCC2 tied together to the supply of the guest system. So if the guest is powered off (VCC1 and VCC2 off), will this cause any interference on the host side?

Regards

  • Hi Jose,

Thank you for using our E2E forum.

To help us answer your question: is it possible for you to share a simplified block diagram or a schematic please? Are there any other isolators or isolated power supplies in the system ?

    Regards,
    Abhi
  • Hi Jose,

Just checking in and following up on the previous post.

While we don't expect a powered-off device to cause any loading issues. The reason i asked my previous question is to make sure that the supplies are not being tied together to __each other__ and thereby unintentionally bypassing the isolation in the rest of the system. If isolation is not needed, then this is also ok, but wished to double check . (hence the request for a block diagram to confirm this).

Please let us know either way if you need additional assistance on this.

    Regards,
    abhi
