DS90UB914A-Q1: FPD link error

We used 914/913 and found small percentage (<5%) of HW board has camera link issue:

  1. 914 LOCK pin toggle between 0 <->1, register 0x1C show parity error (bit[2]) and un-lock( bit[0]).
  2. 914 AEQ was enabled by default, register 0x4D read (0x20, bit[6] is 0). EQ value(register 0x4E) reads out value changes from 0x0 to 0xF. On good link, EQ value is stable, 0x0 or 0x1.
  3. Failed camera works fine on other HW boards; failed HW board works fine with other camera modules. Suspect there is some margin issue.

    Hello,
    Does the failure follow the 913A/914A device or the board?
    What is the system power-up sequence? Make sure the power up requirements in the device datasheets are followed and the Serializer is powered up and running and sending data to the deserializer before the deserializer is powered up.
    Are the power supply levels stable and within the specification? Make sure the power supply noise/ripple is also within the specification limits.
    If 0x4D[6]=0, then you are not in AEQ mode. You are actually in AEQ bypass mode and the manual EQ value needs to be set through register 0x04.
