TPS65987D: GPIO Open Drain/Push Pull

Part Number: TPS65987D

Hi, Team,

My customer plan to use TPS65987D with TUSB1046. The customer may use the below GPIO.

CTL1            Port 0 DP Mode Selection Event  (DP_Mode_Selection_Event_Port1)
CTL0            Port 0 USB3 Event              (USB3_Event_Port1)
FLIP            Port 0 Cable Orientation Event  (Cable_Orientation_Event_Port1)

Is it possible to use GPIO described as "Push pull" in Open Drain? On the Host Interface Guide, only USB3_Event_Port1 had Open Drain and the other two were Push pull. There are check Open Drain output box on the customization tool are they consider to use it as Open Drain output.

Best Regards,

Satoshi Yone

  • Hi Yone-san,

All of the GPIOs should default to Push Pull after booting. If you would like to enable them as an Open Drain output, you can do so through the customization tool.
