TPS2547: USB Charging port controller

Hi Team,

I want to use USB Charging port controller in my new design.

That will enable my system to charge the end devices (Android devices/Apple devices /etc..) at their maximum charging current.

Can you recommend on a device that will give us support with all (or most) existing standards?

Do you recommend on TI TPS2547RTER?

Just to add - I interesting in a standalone Universal USB Charger application without any USB host involved. I think that the TPS2547RTER might require a USB host for normal operation.

Please advise what TO recommend for standalone USB charger application without HOST controller. The USB charge controller should be capable of handling the charge without additional host or external setting.

Please advise.

    Hello Shlomi,

    For non-compliant charging modes, the TPS2549 offers the highest current option (divider 3). You can configure the device to be controlled by a host controller, or have it hard set to the whatever setting you want.
