Hello.

The following sentence is in SNLS504B.

Page-8
6.1 Unused Pins

"Except for VDDA1P8 pins, if they are not used then they should be left floating."

Is this sentence typo?

I think unused pins other than VDDA1P8 pins should not be left floating.

    Hi Dice,

    The sentince is a bit wordy. However, its overall statement is correct.
    It is essentially stating that all unused pins can be left floating since there are internal pullups/pulldowns.
    However, VDDA1P8 should always be left floating (unless it is used in the 3 supply option) since a pullup/pulldown will disrupt the internal regulator.
    It goes on to state that even though unused pins can be left unconnected, it is good practice to externally pull them since the internal pulls are weak (i.e. 9k ohm). This again is up to the implementer though.
