SN65DSI86: SN65DSI86 24 bits transfer to 18 bits color codes

Hello,

My customer wants to use SN65DSI86, the platform they are using can only support 24 bits color codes, while the LCD panel can only support 18 bits. So they are asking if they can use software to transfer 24 bits color codes to 18 bits though our device. Thanks!
