TPS65983: The differences between the TPS65983 and TPS65983B

Dear Sir

  I want to verify with our customer with regards to the differences between the TPS65983 and TPS65983B.  

They are referring to Intel's reference design APEX creek which seems to be using the TPS65983 but wants to know if they should be using the TPS65983B for new designs.

    Hi Vayne,

    The TPS65983B contains some PD3.0 updates and enhancements to work with both Intel's Alpine Ridge designs and Titan Ridge designs. Intel's recommendation is that all Thunderbolt 3 device designs utilize the TPS65983B and while TPS65983 will work in an APEX Creek design it is preferred that your customer use the TPS65983B silicon instead.
