TPS65982: TPS65982DC USB2.0/3.0 recognition problem

Dear all,

We have used TPS65982DC for TypeC application, but we encountered that at some times, the USB2.0/3.0 can not work properly, and only after power reset, it can work normally, attached please find the log they captured, could you please give some suggestion to fix the problem?

Hi John,

The TPS65982 does not control USB3.0 data, that would be controlled by an external data mux.
Can you double check if you are sending a billboard message when you see a failure?

we are using the dock to test the USB3.0 function, and find some dock can not recognize USB3.0 or recognize as USB2.0, attached please find the log data and FW we used, could you please help check the problem and give us the steps to check?

Hi John,

The TPS65982 does not control USB3.0 Data. Those data lines do not go through the 82. The 82 can only control a data mux through the GPIO settings. Please check to make sure the Mux control GPIOs are configured correctly.
