Hi Team,

Is the STATUS pin asserted when detecting an overcurrent condition regardless of the current limit setting?

In the table below, you can understand that STATUS OUTPUT turns OFF when set to CTL 3.

How do I understand?

Hello Kenji,

The FAULT pin is used to flag overcurrent conditions, not STATUS. STATUS is asserted when a load has been detected or not. For your question yes, FAULT will signal an overcurrent condition regardless of what the current limit settings are set to.

For your second question, STATUS function is deactivated when CTL3 is low.
