Hi,

Could you detail the procedure to program a blank SPI external flash memory connected to a TPS65981? May SWD be used in this situation? Or an external programming device is needed?

    Hi Newton,

    An external programming device is needed in this case. The TPS65981 can be updated over I2C only once there is a valid image present in the SPI Flash. To do this, you must program the external SPI Flash with a programming device. Our EVMs use an FTDI chip to do this.
