TPS65981: Need of an external SPI flash memory for application code

Part Number: TPS65981

Hi,

To configure TPS65981 as UFP sink, is it mandatory the load of application code stored in an external SPI flash memory?

Or boot code stored in the internal OTP memory can deal with this configuration?

Best wishes,

  • Hi Newton,

Correct, you would need an external SPI Flash to hold the application code containing the configuration. You can create the Full Flash image using the Configuration Tool that is found under the Tools and Software tab of the TPS65981. You can flash this image onto the External SPI Flash.

If this answers your question, PLEASE select This resolved my issue

    Thank you,

    Eric
