 In my customer's application, they will have a thunderbolt interface , customer want to know, what's difference between TPS65982 and TPS65983?   TPS65982 can be used in thunderbolt application ? as TPS65983 price is high than TPS65982.

    Hello Jerry,

    The TPS65983 is intended applications that will follow  Thunderbolt architecture while the TPS65982 is not. If you are planning on designing a Thunderbolt system, then the TPS65983B is the part you are going to want to use. If not, then the TPS65982 is the part to use. If you try to use the TPS65983 in a not Thunderbolt architecture, you will be limited heavily as to how you can configure the part.
