LMH1218: Device Register settings vs. IBIS-AMI model parameter settings

Hi Jay,

For RX settings normally we have CTLE or reg 0x03 that determines gain of the 50-ohm interface.

On output, there is VOD and de-emphasis settings. These are register 0x84 and 0x85.

Hi Nasser,
I've looked at the programming guide, but I'm having trouble mapping ex. "Rx_config" to the RX device register settings.
The IBIS-AMI model has other parameters EQ_Level, (0-15), DWDM_mode (0-1), CTLEAdapt (0-1), EOM_window=1000 default but I'm looking for a mapping to the device registers. Is there a translation document?

Hi Jay,

Here are registers for the parameters that you noted:
EQ_Level = Reg 0x03 settings. Note at power up we need to initialize this register - as noted in the data sheet and programming guide.
DWDM: This is 50-ohm CTLE bypass. Please note register 0x1C and reg 0x1E. This is called RAW mode(reg 0x1C[7:5]=3'b010]
CTLE Adapt(0-1): This is reg 0x31[6:5]
EOM_window: When capturing eye opening, this register sets length of time for each cell to capture eye hits. This is register 0x2A
