TPS65981: MODE(0x03) stuck in BOOT

Part Number: TPS65981

Hi Team,

we use the TPS65981 on our own Solution with the Macronix MX25V8035FZUI 8M-BIT Flash Memory. We used the FTDI Chip from the TPS65981EVM Board to flash the System. After powering up the System the TPS659891 stuck in BOOT Mode. Host Interface is working and the Register 0x2D have the folowing flags:

The MISO Signal is low on powering up the system.

Could you please tell me some reasons for this behavior?

Kind regards

Robin

  • Hi Robin,

    Welcome to E2E.

It seems that the memory is not powered, because you mentioned MISO is low and Spiflashpresent shows false.

Please make sure the memory is powered and there is pull-up resistor on DI and DO pins.

Also, we would recommend using the latest TPS6598x Configuration Tool from TI.com.

I hope it helps and if it solves your problem, PLEASE select  This resolved my issue

    Best Regards,

    Hao
