DS90UB948-Q1: DS90UB948 PASS FUNCTION

Dear TI Experts,

As DS90UB948 datasheet described,SDOUT/GPIO0 / PASS share the same pin,pin7
Now I already use pin7 for TP_RESET, How can I achieve "pass" function?

And I'd like to know how to simulate Built-In Self Test?

Hi Fawn,

The BIST sequencing can be found in the datasheet in section 8.3.15. BIST Mode can be enabled through the BISTEN pin of the deserializer. From here, you can monitor the PASS to see if it goes high or low.

but the pass pin(pin7) is already used for other function~

So how to know the status:PASS = 1: No error detected PASS = 0: Error detected

When you run the BIST test, other function is NOT used, and should be disconnected of disabled. that is to say, the "TP_Reset" can't be used during your BIST test.

Does it mean if I want the BIST function, I must use pin7 for pass function?
Does" other function" includes BISTEN,cause pin4 has used for INTB_IN, And maybe I can enable BIST by BIST configuration register~

Yes. when you conduct BIST test, other function (TP_RESET) is NOT needed, so they can be reused in one pin.
for how to enable BIST, please follow up d/s, you can use hardware pin setting, also can use reg. to setting the clock etc.,
