Our customer use the DP83867, have a basic question.

What purpose for the mirror mode function?

Is it the pin swap simply?

When the customer use the DP83867 with point to point communication,

does it need the mirror mode function?

Mirror mode enables swapping of MDI pins ( A with D , B with C). If you are sure of the connections between DUT and Link Partner, you can choose not to enable it.
