ISO5852SDWEVM-017: EVM questions not answered in the documentation

Hello:

Recently purchased the EVM to get a system up and running quickly, but found that the schematic in the documentation is unreadable. Is there an Altium design file available? Schematic is needed; PCB not necessary but may be helpful.

Also, the documentation for the EVM (sllu298.pdf) doesn't specify what module is being used in the application note. I'm mating this with one half of a dual Semikron SKM400GB128D IGBT module for switching a 100V, 200A load. Is there anything else that might need to be modified or changed on the module in order to provide a functioning circuit?

Hi Rudy,
The ISO5852SDWEVM-017 fits form factor of 152 x 62 x 17 mm modules. I don't see an issue in connecting it to SKM400GB128D module except longer wires and associated parasitics. The two channels in driver board are independent. There is logic included that prevents overlapping of two channels. It is described in User's Guide how to disable the logic to allow overlapping if needed. For the Altium design files please provide your contact informaton so I could send them to you directly. Also, let know if you need specific turn ON and OFF drive voltages that are different from voltages by default. We'll explain how to set your specific drive voltages. We are currently designing the driver board that will fit into SKM400GB128D form factor, but it's not ready yet.

double check that the desat diodes D11, D15 will give you the trip threshold you want

Two connected in series diodes D11 and D15 have been used in cases when Vds exceeds 1200V. If Vds is less than 1200V one of the diodes can be shorted to improve trip threshold accuracy. Additional threshold adjustment could be made by resistor R18 and non populated resistor R17.
