TPS65983B: compatible with TPS65981?

    Hello,

I am trying to replicate the tida-01627 reference design in eagle.
And I cant use any bga style chips because I'm gonna try to solder it myself, and therefore is wondering if the TPS65983B in the reference design could be replaced with TPS65981 or any other chip that comes in a package without any hidden pins, thanks in advance

      Hello,

      The TPS65983B cannot be exchanged with the TPS65981 in this TI-Design. It will not work as the firmware is not compatible with the 81. We are  working on updating this TI-Design with the TPS65987D which is a QFN package. This will be posted to TI.com later this year.
