DP83822I: IBIS model placeholder for MDI pins

Part Number: DP83822I
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLK110,

Hi,

We use IBIS models for signal integrity analysing in our PCB CAD. In the DP83822I IBIS model the MDI pins (e.g. TD_P, TD_N etc.) have the "NC" pin designator assigned. Now our CAD has a problem because it thinks there is no receiver and therefore is not able to return track length or do a lengthening. Now I have seen that in the TLK110 IBIS model there is a pin model named "TERM" assigned to the MDI pins. As a workaround solution, we plan to expand the DP83822I IBIS model in the same way. Can we take the "TERM" model 1:1 or do we have to modify it in some way? We do not plan to do signal integrity verify on MDI signals.

Thanks and best regards,
Patrick
