SN65DSI84: Near End Differential Termination for LVDS

Hi,

Generally the differential termination for LVDS is 100ohm but SN65DSI84 can choose either 100ohm or 200ohm as the near end differential termination, so what is the purpose of this feature ?

Once again, could you please tell me that reason why SN65DSI84 can set 200ohm to the near end differential termination ?

Kato-san,

The termination setting depends on the receiver termination on the panel. You will need check the panel datasheet.

I understood that SN65DSI84 would need to provide the end termination between 100ohm to 200ohm depending on the panel to be used.
