TUSB1002: Question at pull-down resistors and series capacitor on RX and TX pin

Hi,

     In datasheet reference sehematic, at PIN19, 20.

     In the actual layout, does the RC need to put it on the device side of the device or to put it on the end of the terminal (whether the terminal is Host or Device)?

    it means the RC need close to chip or device side?
