SN75452B: Behavior outside normal operating conditions

Part Number: SN75452B

Team,

One of my accounts has a query concerning component SN75452BP (commercial range temperature) implemented on an electronic Equipment that can be submitted to a burn-in process temperature profile of 60°C / -20°C.

Questions:

  • Can we provide any data outside recommended operational temperature, regarding expected degradation in reliability and failure mode, if expected?
  • Does the device resume normal operation when returning to recommended operating temperatures?

  • Hi Carlos,

At 60°C, the device is still within temperature range, so the concern would be at -20°C. From a damage perspective, the package and die are both rated for this lower temperature, so we would not expect any damage to come to the device. However, at -20°C, you may not get proper operation of the device. This would likely be due to the device not turning on.

When returning to a normal temperature, the device should function normally.

    Thanks,

    Alek Kaknevicius
