TPD1E05U06: Can't tell polarity from the package

Hi,

I've applied TPD1E05U06DPYR samples from ti store for my customer to evaluate.

Order number is 1910774.

But we can't tell polarity from the package. Under magnifier it looks like below: no line to tell the polarity, no device marking.

Since they need more than 100pcs, so they also buy the samples from some local vendors(not TI distributor), but it has line to show the polarity and device marking is C2, shown below with the same magnifier.

It seems that what the customer bought from local vendor meets the datasheet. But what I get from ti store is not. That's strange. Can anybody tell why?

In this post it says that there should be a line to mark pin1.

So the comparison will make the customer think that the device from ti store is fake, but from local vendor is authentic, that's embarrassed.

Hello,
There should be a marking like the picture you showed. I would double check that moving the part around under the microscope doesn't show the marking. I know that sometimes the light from the microscope can make it look as though there is no marking. Also if this device has been soldered and taken off you could have damaged the top of the device to where the marking is no longer visible.
I will follow up with our team to see if there is an issue.

No,
moving the part around doesn't show the marking.
The device is purely new, just handed to the customer by me.
The mark of the device bought from local vendor can be seen very well under the same scope and has been soldered on the board.

thank you.
I can observe the mark in our lab. It seems to be caused by their magnifier. After adjusting the microscope magnification they can also see the mark. It's just that our mark is not so apparent as those from local vendor.
