Can you please advise what exactly CSI_ENABLE bit does? Does it disable the whole CSI interface (data lanes and clock) or only the clock?

Hello,
The CSI_ENABLE bit enables or disables the CSI output, not just the clock. Keep in mind forwarding should be disabled (FWD_CTL1 register) prior to enabling or disabling the CSI output.
