HI Sir 

Due to DS34RT5110 is NRND ,May I know DS32EV400 could support HDMI or not  for 4k/2k/30

    Hi Kai,

    You can use DS34RT5110 in equalizer mode only. However, it is not recommended for new design where retimer function of the DS34RT5110 is used. Please note lab report below regarding this issue:

    In summary, you can use DS34RT5110 in equalizer mode with no problem.

    DS32EV400 can be used as well. However, DS34EV400 has onboard 100-ohm termination. Unlike DS34RT5110 or or other HDMI devices, input termination does not go to VDD or 3.3V.

    May I know if input have 100ohm termination resistor ,have anything I need to take care or side effect?

    Hi Kai,

    HDMI specification needs 50-ohm termination to 3.3V however DS32EV400 has 100-ohm termination across positive and negative leads. This is not compatible with HDMI specification. I am not aware of a workaround that you can use. Please consider using DS34RT5110 in equalizer mode only.
