DS90UB953-Q1: IBIS model simulation circuit

Part Number: DS90UB953-Q1

Hi team,

Our customer downloaded ds90ub953-q1.ibs from the web to perform SI analysis of CSI input of 953.

Waveform of about 400 mVpp was observed with single ended waveform.

Is a termination circuit explicitly necessary?

Is there a verification circuit or results that can be referred to?

Best regards,

Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hello-

The DS90UB953 ibis model includes a model of the input termination resistor as shown below:

    ************************************************************************
    | INPUT_TERM Resistor Model
    |************************************************************************
    |
    [Model] INPUT_TERM
    Model_type Series
    Polarity Non-Inverting
    C_comp 0.0pF 0.0pF 0.0pF
    |
    [Temperature Range] 27 105 -40
    |
    [Voltage Range] 1.8 1.71 1.89
    | Resistance ohm(typ) ohm(min) ohm(max)
    [R Series] 100 80 125

As long as your simulator supports Series Model_type, no "external" termination is needed.

  • Hi Davor-san,

I'm sorry for the late reply.

I could not find the terminal description in the 953 ibis model I got from the web.

File revision is 1.0, date is 05/06/17.

If this revision does not contain termination, should we add a terminating resistor outside the model of 953?

Or could you provide a model included terminal resistance that you taught?

    Best regards,

    Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hello

Attached is the updated model.  Adding an external termination resistor would also be acceptable.
