I was pretty sure that a 1:12 FPD demux wasn't available on the market. However, I was looking for a 3x 1:4 demux or something like this. I was wondering if a PCI-E or LVDS demux could work with FPD link and if it's the case what are the most important parametrics to look at to ensure compatibility.

Fpd Link is simultaneous bi-directional communication. It cannot be used with an active mux/demux. So the only way you can look at this is using a passive mux but we are not aware of any simple mux solution that can achieve this where the bidirectional signal is not interrupted

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by not interrupting the signal, but i'm expecting to lose the signal when i'm switching it between 2 position. You even sells one IC that does fpd-link mux/demux (hd3ss3411-q1). However, i'm looking for a 1:4 or 1:8 demux, not a 1:2. In the same family of IC, there is a 2x 1:4 mux/demux, but they do not indicate compatibility with FPD-Link.

   This is what I mentioned. These MUX/DeMuxes will not work with FPD Link parts and will not pass the signals properly
