TPS65982: USB3/2 devices missing issues and/or system does not able to recognize Thunderbolt HDD device

please review the customer reported issues and advise the suggestions

customer reported

1)system does not able to recognize Thunderbolt HDD device and/or

2) devices missing issue when unplug then plug USB3/2 thumb drive again.

these 2 issues can be recover when reboot the system.(unplug then plug the cable still 70% fail

Hi Peter,

Please provide more details on the issue. How is the TPS65982 failing here? Can you please measure VBUS and monitor the Data Status register? I'm assuming you have an Intel TBT controller on your PCB.
