FPC402: Accessing Prefetched data from FPC402

Part Number: FPC402

Our understanding about FPC402 :  Even thought the FPC402s can be setup to do prefetch multiple bytes of data from the downstream devices, the upstream host has to read the already prefetched data from FPCs internal memory via byte by byte access and NOT block read. Please confirm if the understanding is correct

  • Hi Bala,

The prefetched data can also be read in burst mode of multiple bytes from the FPC402, by the Host upstream. Please refer to the Sections 1.2.1 and 1.2.3 in the Programmers Guide of FPC402 which describes how the Host reads a data of 256 bytes from the prefetched data by reading 32 bytes at a time in 8 consecutive cycles.

    Thanks,

    Sri
