our topology on our board will look like :

The plan to use the replicate mode of the 960 to duplicate the camera input and to bridge one of the channels to USB

is this topology viable?

do you have better candidates to suggest for the components?

can we add multiple devices on the I2C on the serializer side? what are the limitation other then the delay the BCC might cause?

    Hello-

    Yes, the topology is viable. The IC selection is also good. The DS90UB954-Q1 is a possibility, too, however, in replicate mode, it can only support up to two CSI-2 lanes per port while the DS90UB960-Q1 supports up to 4 lanes for each CSI-2 port.

    You can add up to 8 I2C slaves on the serializer side. This is limited by the number of SlaveAlias
    and SlaveID register pairs available on the deserializer.

    Hello

    i see that in the DS90UB953EVM there is a reference to "ds90ub953-dc1 daughter card"

    looks like there is a mipi camera module that connects to the EVM - does it comes with the EVM or is it a different kit?

    what is the sensor on this card?

    Hello-

    The DS90UB953-DC1 daughter card is supplied with the DS90UB953-Q1EVM. The daughter card features OmniVision OV10640.
