DS250DF410: How could I get 12.5Gbps PRBS31 data out?

Part Number: DS250DF410

Hi e2e

I use DS250DF410 and I get 25Gbps PRBS31 data out successed.But when I chose 12.5Gbps in CDR Tab,I'got a 25Gbps PRBS31 data out still.

How could got 12.5Gbps PRBS31 data out?

thank you.

  • Hi Kailin,

In CDR tab after you select 12.5 Gbps, please make sure you do the followings:
1). Click on "Apply to all Channels"
2). Click on "Reset CDR All Channels"
Then please wait to make sure your CDR is locked. Check this through CDR tab with "Channel Selected" pointing to the right channel or you can go to Device Status tab and wait for update to be done.

  • Hi nasser

I have got 12.5Gbps PRBS31 data out. It seems that the reason is the Fclk is not that accuracy. The clock from anather Bert I can get 12.5Gbps PRBS31 data out. When I use SI5380 DEMO board generate a clock to drive DS250DF410 I could not got 12.5Gbps PRBS31 data out.So how the percent robustness of Fclkin?

    think you
  • Hi Kailin,

I am thinking perhaps your SI5380 clock generator harmonics was causing the device to lock at 25G and generate PRBS31 at 25Gbps instead. I believe as long as your clock is +/-100ppm device should be able to the desired data rate.
