TFP410: RGB signal without DE

Dear sir,

Customer is using TFP410.

But their input RGB signal source only have Hsync, Vsync, and CLK.

They don't have DE signal source. Is it workable??

Would you please advise how to arrange the pin2(DE) of TFP410??

Hi CK Ho,

The TFP410 has an internal DE generator. Please see page 16 of the datasheet.

Sorry maybe my description is not clear.

Now the customers don't want to use I2C to control TFP410.

But DE_GEN register need use I2C to set, right??

So is there any other solution without I2C control when the original data source does not provide DE??

Hi CK Ho,

No, either their data source needs to provide DE or they need to use I2C to enable the DE generator.

Now customers want to use TFP410 in yellow marked setting as below attached figure.

Would you please help to recommend register value by I2C??

Which registers need to be modified and modified to what values??

Hi CK Ho,

They should reference the register map starting on page 18, and also the DE Generator section on page 16.
