DS100MB203: DS100M203

Part Number: DS100MB203

Hi Sir :

We use DS100MB203 to transmit SGMII signals

The RX size don't have  correct eye

Do you know how to adjust  DS100MB203 parameters to have a correct eye

    thanks

  • Hi Everyone,
This question was also sent through email. Here is Lee's response to this question:

There are a couple things which could be causing this waveform shape.

    1. The input of the DS100MB203 is receiving an over-driven input signal.
    a. To fix this situation, force the Tx connected to the MB203 input to only output a NRZ signal without pre-cursor or post cursor energy.
    2. The measurement point is not exactly on the receiver pins. This makes the reflection from the receiver very visible on the waveform
    a. Move the measurement point to the MB203 output to see if the dip in the waveform moves within the eye window and if the amplitude is diminished.
