TUSB3410: TUSB3410: Mac OS X driver for 10.13 - High Sierra

Part Number: TUSB3410

I'm trying to get the MSP430 development system going on my Mac running OSX 10.13

I've seen that other people here have requested the USB driver and it's been emailed to them. I'd like the driver, and if possible the full development kit or a pointer to a version that will work with 10.13.

I have tried installing and reinstalling carefully following the instructions provided, and I always get this:

Trying to open interface 1 on 009
rf2500: can't claim interface: Permission denied

Any advice? Also happens with sudo, so it's not a simple permissions problem.

Also, I have removed other older drivers I had tried so I don't believe there's a different driver claiming the device.

Hi Kerry,

My only idea, is that MSP430 board uses a different vendor ID and product ID for the TUSB3410. Maybe you can edit these value in the ktext to get it to install.

I'm not familiar with this MSP430 board so I will try to re-assign to someone on their team.

Hello,

MAC OS is not an officially supported operating system for the eZ430-RF2500. You can see which programmers are supported by which operating systems as well as other programmer features in "Table 1. Debug Probes Features and Device Compatibility" in the MSP Debuggers User Guide (http://www.ti.com/lit/slau647 ).

We do offer a potential workaround though as there has been some success in the past with this programmer and using Virtual Machine SW of an approved OS. Please see the following page for more information.
