DS90UB914A-Q1: How to use OEN/OSS_SL

Part Number: DS90UB914A-Q1

Hi,

I understood the function of OEN/OSS_SL pin by the Table 3 and figure 9 on the datasheet.

However I can't understand how to use OEN and OSS_SL pin.
What is the benefit of the condition OEN or OSS_SL is "L"?

When should we pull down OEN/OSS_SL pin?

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Kuramochi-san,
As the diagram and table shows, they should not be low during normal operating conditions. When OEN is low, the input RIN data is being ignored and ROUT/PCLK and GPIO will be tri-stated. When OSS_SEL is low the output ROUT and GPIO will be low.
If there is a specific use case for the customer to force output or GPIO to low or tri-state during some situation they can use these pins.
