TPS65986: Conditions for STATUS.Overcurrent being triggered.

Part Number: TPS65986

From the TRM, it appears the referenced STATUS.Overcurrent refers to bit-16 of 0x1A Status Register.  With TPS65986 device where VCONN is disabled, it looks like only 2 possible causes for this bit to be set:      Over-current fault on PP_HV switch, or OC fault on PP_5V0 switch...  and which one is causing could be determined from bits 11:10 and 9:8 respectively.

  1. Are these the only mechanisms for STATUS.Overcurrent being triggered (based on actual limit and timeout settings), or is there other mechanisms?
  2. Where is ILIMIT level actually set, to know which of the 16 levels it's configured at?
  3. it's mentioned for both of these switches, that it would only trigger in the "System Output" direction.  PP_5V0 can only be used in System Output direction, but would overcurrent "not" be triggered in the "System Input" direction on PP_HV?

P.S.   the description of the Overcurrent bit has an error... it says "see Byte 3 for details", but I believe the bits showing what switch(es) are faulting is in Byte 2.
