Hello Team,

I do have some questions on the EVM related to the following products:

  • DS90UB953
  • DS90UB954

1) Is the power supply of the FPD Link devices DS90UB953-Q1 also possible via a twisted pair cable?

In my opinion, then each two PoC networks for feeding the power supply with serializer and de-serializer would be necessary.

2) Can you recommend which coax cables (manufacturer Part number) I may use to connect the two Eval Kits?

3) What are the requirements for twisted pair cables: Cat.5 - Cat.6?

4) Do you have recommendations for industrial-grade connectors with IP67 for coax or twisted pair?

    Hello,
    For #1 are you referring to a single twisted pair for both power and data or over separate twisted pairs? They are both possible although implemented differently. Refer to these threads below:

    For the PCB/cable we specify the requirements such as insertion loss, return loss in our 953/954 device datasheets that you can consider while evaluating the cables from the vendors. You can refer to the EVM user guides where we provide cable and connector references.
