customer is looking for repeater in SPI. Can TCA9517 works in SPI repeater application?

    Hey Peter,

    I am not too famillar with SPI but I believe SPI is a push pull architecture, the TCA9517 was made to be used with open drain architectures.

    This could potentially work because SPI is unidirectional but one thing I am worried about is the rise times on the bus. TCA9517 has ESD cells which can be triggered by fast rise times.

    What frequency are you intending on using this at? The TCA9517 only supports 400kHz, and I believe SPI works at a much higher speed.
