I have a customer that is having problems getting our SN65DSI86 working correctly when attempting to support an eDP panel with 4k resolution at 60Hz.
They do not see the correct display when the GPU DSI output is initialized as dual channel, 18bpp packed pixel mode. If they change the GPU DSI output to dual channel 18bpp unpacked (loosely) pixel mode then they can see the correct display but only @45Hz refresh rate. Their assumption is that the bridge chip uses the 1st byte of the DSI stream to tell whether the following bytes are to be interpreted as packed (0x1E) or unpacked (0x2E) pixels. Is there anything else they must also do to get the packed pixel mode working correctly?
