Hi Dhanasekaran,
The TPS65983B is only recommended for use with TBT devices that are following an Intel reference design. Are you following an intel reference design in your application? If not, I would recommend using the TPS65987D instead. The TPS65987D will take care of all RCP on the Type-C port.

Dear Eric,
Thanks for your feedback, We are using the TBT devices and we are following the intel reference design.
Question:
1. Does TPS65983 take care of reverse current if more the external power sources are connected with system?.
2. If TPS65983 takes care of reverse current without additional external circuit, We will protect the reverse current flowing through the external AC-DC converter due to external power source through USB Type C connector ?
I have also attached the high level block diagram for your reference.

Could you share any design file, if it is available?
Thank you

Dear Eric,
I have attached the block diagram for your reference. It would describe about high level architecture.
Thank you

Hi Dhanasekaran,
Thank you for sharing the block diagram, it is clear to me now. The TPS65983 will handle all reverse current protection on the power paths that it controls. It will protect the 2 internal power paths and the external N-Fet power path. However, it would not handle reverse currents coming from either type-c port and going into the external AC-DC Converter. There would need to be additional RCP on the DC Power Conn input.
