TUSB8041: max power requirements?

Part Number: TUSB8041

What is the maximum power consumption of TUSB8041IRGC at 85°C for VDD33 and VDD?  Datasheet only gives typical at 25°C.

  • Hi Andrew,

Are VDD33 and VDD nominal? If so, I would recommend providing a 15% margin for max values.

  • It's hard to guarantee a nominal voltage with tolerances on regulators, voltage dividers, noise, etc.  I would like a max number to cover process, voltage, and temp.

  • Hi Andrew,

I understand that nominal voltage is hard to guarantee in a system, but I was wondering if the design was spec'd to run on the high side or not. The power consumption of the part will scale with the voltage rails so if the rails are both run at +10% (3.6V, 1.2V), I would expect to see +10% in power consumption.

If you are running the device at max temp and max power rails, I wouldn't actually expect the power to be up a full 25%, but this is a safe margin.
