DS90UB954-Q1: DISCARD_1ST _LINE_ON_ERR (0x6D bit3)

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Hi Team,

My customer is evaluating DS90UB954-Q1 and found he couldn't receive data when 0x6D bit3=0.
There is no problem when 0x6D bit3=1 (Default).
He set Raw Input Mode in this case.

Could you tell me why does the issue occur?

Best Regards,

  • Hi,
what is the problem in your case? is it the UB933's camera? in the RAW mode, the 0x6d[3] is:

In RAW Mode, Discard first video line if FV to LV setup time is not
    met.
    0 : Forward truncated 1st video line
    1 : Discard truncated 1st video line
In FPD3 CSI-2 Mode, Forward CSI-2 packets with length errors
0: Do not forward errored packets
    1: Forward errored packets

so it seems your problem is flicking, correct? it should discard the first line due to FV/LV timing issue from isp. You can change the timing in the sensor side or you can set reg. 0xbc=0X00 to relax the timing relationship (page35/36 in UB954).

    Regards,
    Steven
