TUSB8041EVM: the TUSB8041 device would shut up,Why ?

Dear All

When use oscilloscope probe to test the XI pin(62 pin),the TUSB8041 device would shut up.But testing the XO pin(61 pin) is OK. Why ?

Hi Went,

Is the device used with a crystal or a oscillator? XI is the input pin for oscillator and may be more sensitive to extra loading.

Went,

I haven't had any issue probing the XI pin, what type of probe are you using? Also, be aware the clock turns off when the hub enters suspend. The hub will enter suspend when it is disconnected from the host or when it is connected to the host and no downstream devices are attached.

I use LeCroy PP020 500mhz probe and TEKTRONIX probe, when touch the XI pin,the TUSB8041 will immediately crash.

I know when the hub enter suspend,and the clock turns off, but the up issue is not hub enter suspend.

Hi,

I'm using Tektronix P6245 and P6249 probes and I don't see any issue with probing XI. Other than the probe concern, are you having a device issue?
