SN65DSI86: Eye dirgram test Lane2 have lower level

Part Number: SN65DSI86

Hi Expert,

My customer measure the eDP eye diagram. They measure around 340mVpp in lane0,1,3, but measure around 200mVpp in lane 2.

The screen can display OK, but just measure lower transmit voltage. Is this situation normal or have some HW problem? How to determine it?

Can I do any setting to make the voltage the same as others?

Please help! Thanks!

It looks like your channel 2 signal amplitude is exactly half of other channels.

I would check across multiple boards to see if the issue is isolated to this particular board, this would separate the issue between board design and manufacture.

I would then check the soldering of lane 2 positive and negative line(ML2P/N), you may have a cold solder or a cracked cap issue. I would recommend:
    Reflow DSI86
Remove AC coupling capacitors on ML2P/N and soldering new caps.
Reflow ML2P/N on the eDP connector

    Thanks
