I'm designing a system to run DisplayPort and USB 3.0 simultaneously over USB-C, both at 5 Gbps, and wondering what the advantages of an active switch like the TUSB564 compared to a passive switch like the HD3SS460. The TUSB564 is higher cost and higher power, but I assume the signal integrity is better? In what situations is the active switch required, or recommended?
