DS90UB954-Q1: DS90UB954-Q1:Line-Interleave Forwarding

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Hi team,

I tried transfer by "Line-Interleave Forwarding mode" the following "Test conditions".But, UB954.TX signal is no change.
Q.Are there other required register settings?

[Test condition]
1. Transfer Color-Bar-Pattern from UB953 to UB954.RX0.
2. Transfer Color-Bar-Pattern from UB953 to UB954.RX1.
3. Set UB954 to "CSI output:enable" & "CSI lane count :4lane"
4. Set UB954 to "Line-Interleave Forwarding" mode.
5. Set UB954 to "Forwarding enabled for RX Port 1" & "Forwarding enabled for RX Port 0"

[note]
In case of "Best-Effort CSI-2 Forwarding" , UB954.TX signal is change.

best regards.

  • Hello-

There is a code example for setting Line-Interleaved Forwarding in the datasheet section 7.4.28.4.1.

Also note the requirements for Syncronized forwarding:

-Video arriving at input ports should be synchronized within approximately one video line period
-All enabled ports should have valid, synchronized video
    - Each port must have identical video parameters, including number and size of video lines, presence of
    synchronization packets, and so forth.

    Davor
  • Hi-
It is probably that the input sources of RX 0 and RX 1 are not synchronized.(At the test condition,FWD_SYNC0 status is "0".)
for example, if completely the same source is input to RX 0 and RX 1, Does the two sources automatically synchronize inside the UB954?
Or,Are there other required register settings?
    best regards,
  • Hello-

The 954 does not automatically synchronize the inputs. However, it can help synchronize the video sources using its FrameSync function. See datasheet section 7.4.27.
