Are the PHY address pins (AD1,2,3,4) on the DP83849IF required when the PHY is used as a media converter?
I have a system which requires 32 PHYs configured as media converters. Would they all require a individual address?
The system would be configured as follows;
PC -> Network Switch Port 1 to 16 -> DP83849IF Media Converter -> Fibre Optic -> DP83849IF Media Converter -> Ethernet enabled device.
